      Enabling Portfolio Epic Email workflow notification also impacts Capabilities

      This is reproducible on Data Center: yes

      When enabling workflow email notifications for the Portfolio Epic type, the users that are in the role on the portfolio team that was toggled on to receive notifications for Portfolio Epics are now getting the same emails for the Capability issue type. Note, currently the product does not have a workflow email functionality in the UI for Capabilities type.

      Steps to Reproduce

      • Navigate to Administration > Email > Workflow Email > Workflow Type > Select Portfolio Epics
      • Then in the Notify by Email section, enable a role toggle ON in the Portfolio Team section (such as tested with 'Epic Owner' toggle ON)
      • Then navigate to a Portfolio Team by opening a Portfolio > Members tab.
      • Make sure to have a user with the same role 'Epic Owner' added to the above Portfolio > Members tab
      • Change/Edit a Capability within the above portfolio
      • Notice the email gets sent to the user around the Capability change (see the screenshot attached)

      Expected Results

      No email sent for Capability

      Actual Results

      Enabling email notification for Portfolio Epics also enables capability email notification.

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
