Objectives - Unable To Edit Objective If The Assigned Theme Is Deleted

XMLWordPrintable

      Issue Summary

Portfolio objectives created and associated with a Theme. If the Theme happens to be deleted, users are unable to Save changes to the Objective, such as a PI change or addition.
The error "Unexpected end of JSON input" is returned when the save is attempted.

This issue is also found to only occur when using the New OKR experience. On the Legacy experience, the error does not occur.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a Portfolio Objective and associate a Theme to it
      2. From the Theme grid, delete the Theme which was assigned
      3. Open the Portfolio Objective with the New OKR view
      4. Make a change to the Program Increment field
      5. Click Save

      Expected Results

The deleted Theme is no longer linked with the Objective and the changes made are saved successfully

      Actual Results

The theme can no longer be seen on the objective UI, but the error "Unexpected end of JSON input" is returned when attempting to Save changes.

      Workaround

You can attempt the approaches below to make your desired change to the Objective.
      Legacy View

      • Switch to Legacy View. Once your change is done and saved, you can return to the new view

      New OKR View

      • On the new OKR view, add a new Theme and Save
      • Then make the desired change and then Save again
