Issue Summary

Work Tree: the "Narrow to Program and Program Increment" toggle enabled removes all values selected on the "Extra configs"

The issue is in NEw NAvigation. The old UI works fine.

Steps to Reproduce

Please note the different behavior between New Navigation and Old UI. The old UI works correctly. New Navigation has the issue.

Suppose we have a simple configuration like this one

Configuration
We created a simple configuration as follows:

Epic 'fedeepic_worktree_1' with 2 programs + PI='fedezy'

• 'fedeprogramZ' 
• 'fedeprogramY'

Feature 'fedeepic_worktree_1' has and PI='fedezy'

• 'fedeprogramZ' as Primary Program
• 'fedeprogramY' as Additional Program

Feature 'fedeepic_worktree_1' has 2 stories

• Story_1 with 16 points and program 'fedeprogramZ' 
• Story_2 with 8 points and program 'fedeprogramY' 

story_1 is accepted

After

• In the New navigation, select a Portfolio and a PI (fedezy)
• Select 'Work tree'
• Select 'Top-Down View from Portfolio Epic (Initiative)'

New UI

If we follow this order:

First, enable the "Narrow to Program and Program Increment" toggle and, after setting Programs filed with value 'fedeprogramZ' in "Extra configs". In this case, there IS NOT an issue.

1. "Narrow to Program and Program Increment" toggle enabled 
2. Programs with value 'fedeprogramZ' in "Extra configs"

The result is as expected, see image

With New UI

If we follow  this order:

First, set the Programs with value 'fedeprogramZ'  in "Extra configs" and after enabling the "Narrow to Program and Program Increment" toggle. there is an issue

The issue is with this order:

1. Programs with value 'fedeprogramZ' in "Extra configs"
2. "Narrow to Program and Program Increment" toggle enabled

and if you open the 'Extra Configs' the fedeprogramZ assigned to the programs is lost/disappeared - this is the reason why the values are not as expected in the result

NOTE: the one above was a simple example using the program field. But the issue is that following this order "first sets any fields in "Extra configs" and after enabling the "Narrow to Program and Program Increment" toggle" removes all the values selected in the  "Extra configs".

This confuses the users because they think that the values are not correct

 

Old UI

• Programs with value 'fedeprogramZ' is in the configuration filter{}
• "Narrow to Program and Program Increment" toggle enabled and disable

The result is as expected

Workaround

Use the New Navigation with this order or Old UI

1. "Narrow to Program and Program Increment" toggle enabled 
2. Programs with value 'fedeprogramZ' in "Extra configs"
