Issue Summary
The error, <name of the custom set field> is empty is generated each time the sponsor field in the benefits tab is automatically cleared during an update in the Epic's spend tab.
This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes)
Prerequires
- Go to Admin > Platform > Portfolio > Case Development > create the customer field set and make some fields as required
- select it in Case Development Custom Fields dropdown list of your program under Administration>Programs
Steps to Reproduce
- Step 1. Create a new Epic in the Details tab and go to the Benefit tab and ensure to update the required custom fields and sponsor field
- Step 2. Go to Spend tab, update and click the Save button. The sponsor field in the benefit tab has remained.
- Step 3. Changed the values in Spand tab and clicked Save or Save & Closed button, the error <name of the custom set field> is empty is generated, even the custom field is not empty.
- Step 4. Go to the benefit tab and confirm the custom field is not empty and find that the Sponsor field has been cleared.
- Step 5. Updated Sponsor field again and save & closed, it worked
- Step 6. Reopen Epic again and repeat the step, the error message is generated and clear the sponsor field in the benefit tab.
Note:
We suspect this is related on another bug JIRAALIGN-6177
Expected Results
The error message is not generated as the custom field is not empty and the Sponsor field is not cleared.
Actual Results
The error message is generated and he Sponsor field is cleared.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
