User Problem

Customer has noticed that depending on whether an Export is performed from: The Grid View, The Roadmap or The Backlog, that different fields are included in the resulting output files.  For ease of external reporting, they would like to either see a method to select required fields for export, or that all fields that are displayed against a work item (in any details style screen in Jira Align)  are exported - no matter where the export is started from.

The issue is confirmed to affect to Themes, Epics and Features (but for other customers may affect Capabilities as well)

The specific fields that the reporting customer would like to see added to those already in the export of the Grid View (including their current source location) are provided  in the tables below (but it should be noted that other customers may have other requirements)

Suggested Solutions

• Add all the required fields into the format of the export file (with the import ignoring any fields that apply to fields in a different source)
• Adjust the queries that export the data so that they include the required fieds

Current Workarounds

1. Use Enterprise Insights (There is an extra cost in using this option which may be undesirable to some customers.)
2. Export the data from all 3 screens and then manipulate the output in Excel to combine the data back into a single sheet. (This method is time consuming and prone to user error)
