Inconsistent behaviour when fields AutoSave

      Issue Summary

There are some fields in a feature that will automatically save an amendment without having to click the Save (or Save & Close) button. The Title, Acceptance Criteria and (depending on settings) Description field can all auto save when a mouse click is placed outside the field after it has been updated.

Each of these three field updates shows a different on-screen behaviour during the processing of the auto-save.

      • Updating the Title field causes the field to be highlighted in yellow and a green pop-up box is displayed containing the text "Updated Successfully"
      • Updating the Description field only shows the yellow highlight, no green pop-up is displayed
      • Updating the Acceptance Criteria field does not show a yellow highlight, but does show a green-pop up with the text stating "Acceptance Criteria NNNN successfully updated" where NNNN is the numeric ID of the acceptance criteria

For all three the visible clues that a save has taken place disappear after a short time.

This behaviour (especially the green pop-up which is more noticeable to end users) should be consistent across all three scenarios

While this issue was found against a Feature it is possible that a similar issue may affect Stories.

      Steps to Reproduce

Note: The reproduction was done in a Jira Integrated Project/Program. All images are from an Atlassian test environment

1 - Make sure that Jira Align > Administration > Jira Settings > Jira Setup > Jira text formatting type is set to either Jira Rendered filed or None (plain text) - This enables the Automatic Save of the Description field

2 - In Jira create an Epic in a project that is integrated to Jira Align

3 - Wait for the feature to be created in Jira Align, and then create a Acceptance Criteria entry in the Feature. The Title, Description and Acceptance Criteria fields for that feature will then look similar to the following images:

4 - Make a change to the Title, click somewhere else in the Details Panel and observe the on-screen indicators of the save (yellow highlight and green pop-up) as shown below:

5 - Make a change to the Acceptance Criteria, click somewhere else in the Details Panel and observe the on-screen indicators of the save ( green pop-up that confirms what was saved) as shown below:

6 - Make a change to the Description  click somewhere else in the Details Panel and observe the on-screen indicators of the save ( yellow highlight only ) as shown below:

      Expected Results

All the auto saving fields should show the same on-screen indicators of an auto save taking place. A preference for the Green pop-up with text that states what has changed has been made by the reporting customer

      Actual Results

All three autosaves show different on screen warnings of the autosave (see the screenshot in the reproduction steps)

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
