    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

The Jira online help should provide one point location/page which explains when, how and under which conditions work items (i.e. tasks/stories/features/epics) can have their state changed automatically based on a state change from the layer above or below.

For example, when a Story in Jira Align moves to In Progress, the parent Feature will also move to In Progress.
This should be outlined in one of the help pages with all other 'automatic' built-in state changes.

            Hello Kyle,

I again get multiple requests from users that need to understand when and why items do auto-transition because they observed this in their daily work.

Please raise priority of this documentation request.

            Thanks Ronald
