Issue Summary
I am submitting a defect for the following Importing Objects Via Excel Overview article as the verbiage is not clear in the documentation about which fields are read-only, hence this is causing confusion when customers are trying to export the backlog rank and importing it back to JA.
Doc: 10X: Import Objects Via-Excel-Overview
Steps to Reproduce
Export
- Navigate to Backlog
- Set config bar to JA Prog 1
- Order & Record Top 5 Epics
- Navigate to Epics Grid
- Export
- Filter export on Rank, the Epics show up as ordered (expected).
- Flip the rank from 1-5 to 5-1 in the excel document.
- Save the export to use as a new import
Import
- Import Epics into the tool with new ranks
- Navigate to Epic Backlog (same config bar setting)
Expected Results
- I expected to see that the ranks were now 5,4,3,2,1 BUT it was still 1,2,3,4,5
Actual Results
- The original Rank remains
Workaround
- Need PM to put some notes on the current document to clearly state which fields are read-only and changing the rank order in the template file will not result in a different ranking order in the JA after the import.
- The customer also asked whether is possible to have the backlog rank field is not read-only.
