Using tags to search and filter in Jira Align is very inconsistent, impeding the adoption of Jira Align (from Jira) for some of our customers who rely on Jira Labels / Jira Align Tags. A small group reviewed the usage and has these recommendations:

Tag searching works best in Status Reports, because search is "starts with" based, and backspace/retry seems to work well:

Tag/Label searching does not appear to work this well elsewhere, including:

• Backlog (in the case, of Features, Manage P-Epics, Manage Features) Not starts-with, but contains or does not contain
• Work Tree (where it merges text and tags, strangely)
• Portfolio room (via advanced filter at top)
  Can get this list of separate tags to not match filter criteria added with "Apply Filters" in comma-separated list. Appears that criteria shown on screen is in effect, even if some tags are missing in advanced filter.
