Issue Summary
The dropdown menu entries for a Story Type is an editable list that contains System-defined items per to the documentation : https://help.jiraalign.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042159154-10X-Field-Dictionary-for-Story-Creation
However, the list is mixed. Some are non editable and hidden, and some are editable and therefore removable.
System defined field | Is permanent (=hidden and non removable) | Is editable/removable |
---|---|---|
Automation | | X |
Database | X | |
Defect | X | |
Design spike | X | |
Enablement | X | |
Template | X | |
User | X | |
Supporting | X |
-> This seems inconsistent, or lack of documentation on which item is mandatory and non removable, vs items that can be removable
-> perhaps the System-defined list changed, or the behaviour changed and would require some more documentation
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to Administration > Platform > DropDown
- Select Story type drop down
- Remove everything
- Create one random story
- Notice the list still displayed in the "type" dropdown
Expected Results
"User" , "Template" , and "Defect" should all be shown on the list in admin but do not show them in an editable field and do not show an X icon by them.
Actual Results
as mentioned in description, Some are non editable and hidden, and some are editable and therefore removable.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
