Issue Summary
When inviting a disabled managed user, the error following message appears:
We're unable to invite users At least one user has an account that is disabled. Grant them site access or remove this account to invite any other users.
The advice to "Grant them site access" is not correct.
Steps to Reproduce
- Deactivate a managed user at org level
- Invite them at site level
- Observe the error "We're unable to invite users At least one user has an account that is disabled. Grant them site access or remove this account to invite any other users."
Expected Results
Show the error "This user's Atlassian account has been disabled. The user will need to contact the organization administrators of the organisation that has claimed their email address domain to enable the account."
Actual Results
The following error appears:
We're unable to invite users At least one user has an account that is disabled. Grant them site access or remove this account to invite any other users.
The instruction to "Grant them site access" is incorrect as the user is deactivated - nothing to do with site access. The wording is misleading to site admins who are not also org admins as they do not have the option to reactivate the user (only an org admin can do this).
Workaround
An org admin of the organisation that has claimed the user's email domain can reactivate the user's account as outlined here: Enabling a deactivated account to provide site-access
