Description
Summary
According to ID-6217 ; users are required to logout and login to their instance again after changing their Full Name in Atlassian Account for the change to take place. However, even after logging out and in again, it still doesn't work.
The reason for this is a privacy feature with Atlassian Account. When somebody is being migrated to Atlassian Account and their full name is different to the name on the site we don't synchronise it just in case this would expose unintended details to the site administrators.
The user interface which would allow users to uncensor your name on your own is not available for all customers yet, but support staff are able to manually uncensor user accounts.
Environment
- Atlassian Cloud using Atlassian Account
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to id.atlassian.com
- Change Full Name and save
- Log out of Atlassian Cloud instance and log back in
Expected Results
- Full Name/Display Name is updated to reflect the one in Atlassian Account
Actual Results
- Full Name/Display Name didn't get updated
Workaround
The censored user may file a support case and we are able to manually change the names on the site to match the Atlassian Account. As this is an individual privacy feature the request must come from the user, not the site-admin.
