Summary
Customers are constantly receiving unsolicited password reset emails.
When attempting to log in to JIRA/Confluence. Instead of being granted access, the user is presented with this screen:
This will happen multiple times while attempting to working on JIRA/Confluence.
Environment
- Confluence Cloud
- JIRA Cloud
Steps to Reproduce
- Login to JIRA/Confluence
Expected Results
- Logins should work without any error messages or friction.
Actual Results
- User presented with "Reset your password to continue" message upon login(see screenshot above)
Workaround
- Set a stronger password as weaker passwords may cause this issue to appear
- Atlassian Cloud uses an entropy score to evaluate the strength of people's passwords
