Global password reset does not send email to users

      Summary

      No emails to set the password are sent to users when the site-admin reset password via the global password reset in User Management.

      Environment

      JIRA Cloud v1000.695.1

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Login as Site-admin
      2. Go to Password Policy section in User Management page
      3. Click on Reset passwords now and below message will show:
        • All users will be logged out immediately and receive an email with instructions on how to reset their password.
          You will be logged out immediately. Do you wish to proceed with this reset?

      Expected Results

      All users will receive emails to reset password as per stated in the dialog box

      Actual Results

      No emails received by all users

      Workaround

      Ask all users to manually reset their passwords via https://instance_name.atlassian.net/login/forgot

            Hi everyone,

            Thanks for raising and following this issue. Because there's been no user engagement (votes, watches, comments) over the last year, we have no plans to implement this in the foreseeable future. In order to set expectations, we're closing this request to focus on our upcoming roadmap.
