Misleading translation for 'Notifications on' and 'Notifications off'

Most Japanese feel like it's the button to turn on the notification when seeing the '通知をオンにする' button. And then, click the button, and the notification is disabled unintentionally.

The wording should clarify that you are already ready to receive a notification. For example,

• 現在通知はオンになっています / 現在通知はオフになっています
