NOTE: This bug report is for Confluence Cloud. Using Confluence Server? See the corresponding bug report.

      Summary:

In Confluence 5.8, when using the German Language pack, the date picker:

      • Has Monday as the first day of the week
      • Days are displayed in German

However, In Confluence 5.9 and above, when using the German Language pack, the date picker:

      • Has Sunday as the first day of the week
      • Days are displayed in English
      Notes:

Checked in confluence-language-pack-de_DE-5.10.0.rc1-v2r12978-2016-06-06.jar/i18n/aui_de_DE.properties noticed the line
      ajs.datepicker.localisations.first-day was set to 1,

      ajs.datepicker.localisations.first-day=1

which supposed to set the day picker to start on Monday. However, the date picker still shows Sunday as the first day of the week

Most of European countries start the week with Monday, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Week.

      Workaround:

            Hello,

We recently migrated to the cloud.
It's frustrating to see that many small problems that don't exist in Server/DC have
been a problem in the cloud for years and they are not being solved.
The issue I18N-2877 is more than 8 years old and nothing has happened.
There is an identical bug in the confluence cloud section.
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-35447 "Ability to set Monday to be the first day of week in the Date Picker"
The bug is also more than 10 years old, nothing has happened.
It only concerns the European Languages.

We’ve moved the issue to our product backlog because the likely fix is beyond the scope of our product localization team. Our next step will be a session to review the product backlog and transfer issues to the appropriate teams to fix.

Thank you for your patience while we work to get this fixed.

5602c971d175, the bug is not fixed. It says "This bug report is for Confluence Cloud" and here's the current situation in Confluence and JIRA cloud. See screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/GivDK6R

Atlassian is not capable of fixing such a small Bug, which is affecting most of European Users, in a Timeframe of some years ... ?!?

/ironic mode on Maybe they should switch to some better Ticket Management System ... there must be something wrong with this one if such Tickets won't get noticed by them ... /ironic mode off

Anyway, that's really pretty unsatisfactory for your customers!

I have the same issue. Setting to UK English and all other features to UK I still get Sunday as the first day of the week.

When I replace the auplugin in version 5.10.1 with the auplugin with version 5.7.46 from our jira instance everything is fine. Our JIRA is running on version 7.1.9 which was released on 2016-07-05.
