The option already exists to disable display of GIFs and is used extensively to turn off animated GIFs but that covers all GIFs and does not cover animated PNGs, animated emoticons or animated avatars even if those are GIFs. Please add an option to disable all animated image files.

Internal tests show that HipChat uses 10% CPU (MacBookPro) when displaying animated emoticons and 35% when displaying a larger animated PNG.
