The HipChat Android app has a 'Stay Connected' feature which allows the app to stay connected to the server, even if the screen is off or the app is in the background. A sub-feature is the 'Room Messages' option which sends a push notification to the device on every message sent in the room (regardless of @mention tag).

These features are exclusive to the HipChat Android app. This request is to implement these features into the HipChat iOS app as well.
