In light of the https://www.atlassian.com/blog/developer/announcing-connect-end-of-support-timeline-and-next-steps, there is a current need for partners and developers to migrate applications to Forge. One of the main concerns today is related to the fact that to provide a smooth transition to 3P users, some applications require the usage of remotes, and it's well known that many 3P users don't update frequently.

We would greatly appreciate the ability to remove remotes used for Connect from the Forge app's manifest without triggering a major version update to provide a better experience for the whole community.

Is it possible to reconsider this major version upgrade when removing connect remotes from the Forge manifest's app?
