Currently, the Jira:entityProperty module allows you to define data types to be indexed and searched via JQL. However, neither Forge nor Jira will validate the input against the defined data type.

If the data stored against a property doesn't match its type, the JQL Search will not return it. This may make the searching process seem unreliable to the end user.
