Increase the maximum number of entries in manifest.yml for Forge apps

XMLWordPrintable

      Description:

Each function declaration counts as a separate entity, which can indeed add up quickly when you have multiple functions, modules, resources, environment variables.

This restriction impacts the partner's ability to effectively report metrics, as each function declaration is counted as a separate entity. The partner requires functions for various purposes such as precomputation, resolvers, JQL functions, and queues. The current limit is insufficient for their needs, and an increase in this limit to accommodate their app's requirements would be beneficial.

The available workaround would be consolidating functions where possible, like combining multiple functions that perform similar tasks into a single function with conditional logic to handle different cases, which is not always feasible.

      Request:

Could the Forge team consider increasing the maximum limit on the number of entries in the manifest.yml file for all Forge apps. This change would align with recent increases in other limits and significantly enhance app's functionality.
