Jira currently has a feature that filters account signups by domain across the entire instance. However, this only applies at the instance level, meaning customers can still submit support requests to projects they shouldn’t have access to or even view the help center portal.
The proposed feature would allow project-specific access control based on a customer’s email domain. For example, only external customers with domain1.com could submit support requests to JSM Project A, while those with domain2.com would be limited to JSM Project B.
This would make it easier to grant access without exposing projects to all external users. While restricting access by individual email is an option, it’s impractical when you can’t predict who will need support—forcing you to add them manually in advance. This feature would resolve that issue.
