It would be incredibly valuable to support embedding Jira Plan Gantt charts directly into Google Docs. Many teams write project briefs, planning proposals, and exec summaries in Google Docs and want to visually share a live or up-to-date snapshot of their roadmap without switching tools or exporting screenshots.
Key capabilities:
- Insert a live or refreshable Gantt chart view from Jira Plan into a Google Doc
- Support filters (e.g., initiative, team, project) to show only relevant items
- Enable snapshotting (static image with timestamp) or live embed via Smart Chips or add-on
- Maintain viewer permissions based on Jira access or shared view permissions
Why it matters: This would streamline asynchronous planning and cross-functional communication by bringing visual roadmaps into where conversations and decision-making happen. Teams can align faster when they can see the plan inline with the surrounding context in a doc — without exporting screenshots or jumping between tools.
