Currently, a Forge app’s frame will expand based on the app’s content size; however, the app itself has no awareness of the client’s window dimensions or the exact points at which scrollbars appear. Consequently, critical UI components such as footers or side panels cannot be positioned reliably within the available space. This often forces developers to place these elements in modals or other less-than-ideal layouts, resulting in a suboptimal user experience.

 

To address this, the following methods would address this issue:

• Access the total available viewport size
  or
• Set the app frame to be the full size of the available space at all times
