Problem description

Given a Forge Custom Field, if the field is present in the Description fields in the work item layout, the field renders with the text label on the left of the field instead of above it, as the other paragraph fields.

 

Suggested solution

For paragraph fields, the label should be displayed at the top of the field as per the Jira UI.

 

Steps to Reproduce

1. Add a Forge Custom Field to the Description fields
2. Check the Jira work item view

Expected Results

The field label (Environment in the example below) is displayed above the field input area (in edit mode) and its value (in view mode).

Actual Results

For a Forge Custom Field, the field label (Test environment in the screenshot above) is displayed on the left of the field input area (in edit mode) and its value (in view mode).

Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.

Forge Custom Fields today don't differentiate between paragraph and text.
