Issue Summary
Unable to a create a user with more that 20 characters in Microsoft Active Directory'
Steps to Reproduce
- Connect an AD as a connector with Crowd
- Try to create a user that has more then 20 characters
Expected Results
If username mapping as UPN or CN, the user should be created in AD
Actual Results
The below exception is thrown in the xxxxxxx.log file:
om.atlassian.crowd.exception.InvalidUserException: Uncategorized exception occured during LDAP processing; nested exception is javax.naming.NamingException: [LDAP: error code 80 - 00000523: SysErr: DSID-031A124A, problem 22 (Invalid argument), data 0
Crowd tries to set Samaccountname even if it is not set as username attribute
Workaround
Create username less then 20 Characters
