The Crowd Linux tar.gz download file is only 1100 bytes
[CWD-4621] Crowd Linux tar.gz download is only 1100 bytes
As d.a.c is resolving to different IPs, I tried a request against the same IP used in the original request. This works:
curl -i http://68.232.45.96/software/crowd/downloads/atlassian-crowd-2.8.3.tar.gz -H 'Host: downloads.atlassian.com' | less
Perhaps I'm seeing a different 68.232.45.96, the mirror has caught up, or there's a transparent proxy in the way.
Are you behind a proxy? Is it possible that you are getting a cached response?
Please try the following:
$ wget --no-cache https://downloads.atlassian.com/software/crowd/downloads/atlassian-crowd-2.8.4.tar.gz
I've noticed that downloads.atlassian.com resolves to a different CDN server. It is possible that some CDN mirrors are outdated or have failed to propagate this file. We are investigating that.

I cannot reproduce this. The first download link in https://www.atlassian.com/software/crowd/download/ (Linux tab) is https://www.atlassian.com/software/crowd/downloads/binary/atlassian-crowd-2.8.4.tar.gz which redirects to https://my.atlassian.com/software/crowd/downloads/binary/atlassian-crowd-2.8.4.tar.gz , and then to https://downloads.atlassian.com/software/crowd/downloads/atlassian-crowd-2.8.4.tar.gz , which has 149,253,845 bytes:

The error observed by admin1822 is
404 - Path /com/atlassian/crowd/crowd-standalone-distribution/2.8.4/crowd-standalone-distribution-2.8.4.tar.gz not found in local nor in remote storage of M2Repository(id=atlassian-public)
admin1822, it may have been a temporary issue. Can you please retry and confirm the problem? Thank you.
