    Description

My organization utilizes a configuration management system for the deployment of all new services. This ensures that every server of ours is deployed in a repeatable, consistent, and automated fashion. We've been able to automate everything up to first launch of the crowd service. However, at that point a human must log into the provisioned crowd system to enter the license key and manually complete setup.

We would like to request that a supported method for unattended installation of a fresh crowd server implemented, along with a supported method for unattended restoration of a backup. Ideally this would take the form of file in the crowd home directory specifying the various options that would usually be entered during an attended installation. When the crowd service starts, it could check for the existence of this file and the absence of the other crowd configuration files. If this condition exists, the crowd server could then proceed through the initialization of the server without human input utilizing the configuration parameters provided in the file.
