Using Attachment option doesn't work with Chrome

User is using v7.0.517.36 of Chrome and when they try to add a file to a review using the "Attachment" option, nothing happens. The page refreshes but the file isn't listed. This functionality works in IE (7.0.5730.13) and FireFox (3.6.10).

[CRUC-4489] Using Attachment option doesn't work with Chrome

Yes, the bug rears itself when Chrome does not recognise the file type.

Thanks for updating guys. Interestingly enough if you change the patch file to *.txt it appears to work. So we can suggest that as a workaround for now.

The bug in Chromium/Chrome has since been fixed, and should hit the beta channel soon. Please see the Chromium ticket above for more info.

I've raised a new bug against Chromium, just in case they aren't watching comments on closed issues:

@Dylan - this is a bug in Chrome, please see the upstream issue that I linked to earlier.

The effort to work around this chrome bug is largely very hacky and possibly high risk.

We may be able to work around this internally

This is a bug in Chrome, where unrecognised file type uploads sets the incorrect content-type header.

            Hi Lee,
Can you confirm what file types the user is trying to upload please?

            Thanks,
            Seb
