      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Currently, error pages are decorated differently depending on your application server, because the filtering behaviour of error-pages is unspecified in servlet spec 2.3. (They added section SRV.9.3.3 to explain it in version 2.4.)

      Upgrading would require minor changes to web.xml and retesting on many platforms. I'm also not sure that all the application servers we support are compliant with the 2.4 spec.
