Issue Summary
This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes) / (no)
The Manage Apps menu recommends an upgrade for Atlassian Universal Plugin Manager even though the installed version is the latest. The recommended version is also not valid.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a Confluence instance with version 8.9.4
- Then, navigate to General Configuration —> Manage Apps
- Check the Universal Plugin Manager to see if there is any update
- Manage Apps recommends upgrading Universal Plugin Manager to version 6.5.5 even though the installed version is the latest version.
Note: The same behavior was also observed for the Mobile Plugin for Confluence Data Center plugin.
Expected Results
The Manage Apps menu should not recommend upgrading the plugin to a new version while you are using the latest version.
Actual Results
- The Manage Apps menu recommends an upgrade for the plugin even though the installed plugin is the latest version.
- The recommended version for upgrade is not a valid version for the plugin.
Also, the menu has an unrendered HTML part at the top of the page;
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
It should not cause any problem in the instance; please disregard it, as both Manage Apps and the UPM plugin appear to be functioning as expected without any issues.
