Problem
The Content Indexing logs history is not available under Recent activity (
> General Configuration > Content Indexing UI menu) with a Confluence Server License
Environment
Reproduced with Confluence Server 8.5.0 and 8.5.1
Steps to Reproduce
- Spin up a new Confluence instance running version 8.5.0 or 8.5.1
- Apply a Server License to the instance
- Go to
> General Configuration > Content Indexing - Click Rebuild
Expected Results
The Reindex operation should appear in the Recent activity section once completed ![]()
Actual Results
The Reindex operation does not appear in the Recent activity section once completed ![]()

When clicking on the link see the audit logs link redirecting to
<Confluence-URL>/plugins/servlet/audit?categories=Reindex
we get the error message below

Workaround
#1
Either follow the progress on the atlassian-confluence-index.log or through the following endpoint:
<Confluence-URL>/json/reindextaskprogress.action

Notes
Apply a DC license to confirm the same issue is not reproduced and that the audit logs are clearly displayed in the Content Indexing menu
