    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

Currently space pdf export allows you to choose whether or not comments are included in the export. Page export provides no option screen, as it is a quick one-click export. The comments are never exported by the page export. It would be nice if they were exported when shown, and not exported when not shown. That is, they should follow the hide comments/show comments link.

Not sure if this is right location for the comment, but we use confluence cloud solution and need this feature strongly for audit purposes (regulated environment). Both the unresolved comments and resolved comments. I can imagine it would be nice to have the option to select which comments you like to have.

Constantly working with PDF files, I find it to be one of the most convenient and secure formats for work. Apart from using reliable tools to handle PDFs and send them to recipients, sometimes I use this tool https://www.pdfplatform.com/protect as an additional means to protect important confidential documents. Adding a password to a PDF takes just a few seconds but significantly enhances data reliability and security.

Why has this feature disappeared? It is kind of basic functionality for the user to expect to be allowed or not allowed to export with or without comments?

As a workaround, I created a user macro which includes the comments into the page body to be printed and exported as PDF.

            Maybe that helps.

12 years after the feature was documented it is still not implemented, and worse, it was apparently working 10 years ago...

            Please add it back. Thanks.
