Issue Summary
Page restrictions are not inherited to child pages if the child page is created via Templates e.g Meeting notes template. This causes notification to be sent to users who are not suppose to receive the notification
This is reproducible on Data Center: yes
Steps to Reproduce
- Have user A watch an entire space
- Follow the steps in CONFSERVER-87720 - Page restrictions are not inherited for pages created from Templates
- User A receives notification about a page created via templates when the user should not receive and is also able to view the page
Expected Results
User shouldn't not receive notification for page that they don't have view permission
Actual Results
User receives notification because view permission is not inherited
Workaround
Disable page-created-notification-template module from Confluence Content Notifications Plugin.
This affects everyone one even if a user has the right permissions.
Issue not observed with CE disabled
Note
Users are also notified when they're mentioned on the page
