    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

Currently, Confluence supports Keep all (default), Keep by age, and Keep by number as retention policies separately.

It is also sometimes required to combine two retention policies (Keep by age, and Keep by number ) together. For example, keep a max of 10 versions (pages and attachments) and keep younger than 2 years. The rest will be removed.

This will help not to waste unnecessary space for file storage and database storage.

[CONFSERVER-79757] Combination of Retention Policies for Confluence

It´s super annoying to find an article that is e.g. 14 month old, retention period is 12 month and you see after editing that the old page is gone and you are not able to undo anything in case you have done a mistake. It should allow storing at least x historic pages in addition to the 12 month retention period.

Great idea. It will be very beneficial for our company.
