The ability to add images (and possibly attachments) is not currently supported and would be a great feature to have for news/blogs

            [CONFSERVER-7938] Ability to add images/attachments to news/blogs

Drag-and-drop file upload is very unlikely, because the web browser security model does not allow any access to the local filesystem except as the result of the file-select form element.

Meanwhile, upload-attachment-on-create has been addressed as CONF-2219.

But it would be VERY nice and should be possible to add an image during the page or news creation process.

oups...just realised it is already possible (first save the news, then attachment, and then back to edit).

What would be useful, would be be able to:
            > copy some text containing images (eg: from the internet)
            > paste it in confluence rich text editor
            > when saving, the image would automatically be saved as an attachment, and displayed in the page/news
