Description
Issue Summary
In Confluence editor, at start of a text element when user presses [ & then ] shortcut, task list item is created before the text element, but screen reader doesn’t announce the same.
Steps to Reproduce
- With screen reader turned on, navigate to the Confluence home page.
- Navigate to the "create" button in header section & activate it.
- In Confluence editor, navigate to the main content editor.
- Type any text which needs to be marked as task list. For Example : Task 1
- Navigate at the start position of the text.
- Press '[' & then ']' keys and observe that the task list checkbox is created dynamically.
Actual Results
While navigating with screen reader, when user presses [ & then ] shortcut at start of a text element such as "Task 1", task list item checkbox is created before the text element dynamically, but screen reader user are not made aware about the same.
This makes screen reader users difficult to understand the purpose & presence of task list macro effectively.
Expected Results
As soon as the task list checkbox element is created an instruction marked inside ARAI live region should be announced by the screen reader for the same.
For Example
<div aria-live="assertive">Task list item created.</div>
Note: The instruction content is for QA purposes only, please confirm the same with content design team.
