Maybe there is a way to do this and I just haven't found it?
Confluence has subscript and superscript formatting options, but they seem to require spaces before them or they are ignored, which renders them useless in all the cases where I would want to use them. For instance:
The formula for water is H~2~O and it is 1g/cm^3^.
This appears exactly like that on the page. If I want the formatting to work I can do this:
The formula for water is H 2 O and it is 1g/cm 3 .
But that's ugly on the page with all that extra space.
If just making the first example work is not easy, something like this might be good:
The formula for water is H{2}O and it is 1g/cm{3}.
Have some kind of brackets or something that says to the editor "this is markup" without requiring a space. Is there somethng like this already? I can't find anything in the documentation.
Thanks!
