make superscript and subscript functions ignore character in front of them

      To use subscript or superscript, one will need to type as follow: ^Text^ or ~Text~.

      But if there is no space in front of the ^ or ~ character, for example:

      Bah bah^text^
      

      Then the super/sub script won't work.

      A customer requested for this to be changed so that these functions do not need to have a space in the front to work.
