    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

On behalf of our 4500 users of our Confluence instance, we would find it extremely useful to be able to configure the Attachments macro with additional columns - notably "Labels"

Some of our Spaces use a lot of attached documents which they currently record manually in a table on the main page - this is so they can put a column in with a manually assigned document number to the attachments for reference purposes - this is common practice in many of the engineering companies (as is our global engineering industry User base) as it adds some consistency in their documents management platforms regardless of ad-hoc file names from various sources.  They can therefore search for a document number and sort the table by the column headings.

If the Attachments macro had the ability to show the Labels column, then they could use Labels as the document reference number.  They could sort by the Label column and even use normal Ctrl+F in their browser search to find what they are looking for.

Other configurable columns would be the name of the last User who uploaded the last document version, and of course last version date.

[CONFSERVER-58555] additional display columns in Attachments macro

Any update on this feature? this is such a simple add on feature but solves so much of the time consumed in documenting attachments, Without this feature the attachment macro seems incomplete.

Vote++. I hope this will be implemented very soon. We have hundreds of people working with conf. and managing attachements is not so smooth as it could be, especially as it is already there in "Atachments". Thank you Atlassians

Whilst my original suggestion is about a generic field that the Space Users can create "on the fly" with whatever text they want to add, it is a great additional suggestion Victor .. would be great if importing a document automatically read the document metadata, after all, that is what it is there for.  When you think about it, it also helps in all sorts of version control visibility .

I think we need to encourage more people to click their vote on this issue though

We have a lot of documents on a single page and need a way to sort through these in a much easier way.   Multiple labels are not working.

Be great to see the original document metadata fields shown (ie Office, Cateogry, Subject, Title, Author, Create, etc)

            Thanks,

Any Confluence document management improvements would be beneficial.

The closer you can get to "SP" document management (custom columns) the better!

Of course we know those columns are available on the Attachments page but that is an extra click away from the convenience of the listing on the main page itself.

Also I meant Creation date i.e. first version loaded, not last version (Modified) date which is already shown
