Description
Issue summary
- Since Confluence 6.2.2, images with EXIF data are displayed in Confluence accordingly.
- PDF export of pages containing these images do not follow the EXIF data, and they appear rotated.
- Word and HTML exports are not affected.
Steps to replicate
- As per the
CONFSERVER-32762case, upload an image with EXIF rotation data onto a page in Confluence. - The image would appear straight, or follows the orientation set in the EXIF data.
- Export the page, or the whole Space to PDF, and in the PDF export, the images will be rotated, and does not follow the EXIF rotation data.
Workaround
- Open the image in a photo editor, like MS Paint, and then simply save it.
- This image can then be uploaded, and exported via PDF without any issues.
