Summary
When an otherwise working Jira gadget is placed inside a dynamic macro within Confluence, the gadget fails to render any data.
Step to Reproduce
- Create an application link between Jira and Confluence
- Link External Gadgets to your Jira instance from the Confluence administration console
- In Confluence, create a new page that has a Page Properties Report Macro
- Then, create a child page
- Add a Page Properties macro
- Insert a simple table within the macro with 2 rows and 2 columns (including headers)
- Enter column titles of Title and Progress
- Within the table, create a macro for Issue Statistics under the progress cell
- The gadget will render on the child page
- Navigate to the parent page (page with the Page Properties Report Macro)
- The page will render with the macro, but the gadget feed appears blank under the progress section
Expected Behavior
The gadget will render on the parent page when loading
Actual Behavior
The gadget appears blank within the table
Workarounds
- If you click on the header Progress for the column with the gadget, the gadget will then render
- If you include an Issue Statistics macro on the page, but include it outside of the Page Properties Report Macro, all of the gadgets will render as expected.
