Description
Summary
Copy Page removes set image size for all images on the page.
Steps to Reproduce
- Turn Collaborative Editing Off
- Copy a page with images displayed on the page that have been set to a specific size (e.g. 200 px).
Expected Results
The image size is applied to the images on the copied page.
Actual Results
The images are displayed with 'original' size.
Cause
This is due to CONFSERVER-43208, where copying a page results in an unknown attachment temporarily until the page is saved. During the time the attachment is unknown, the image size is lost.
Notes
- Cannot reproduce when Collaborative Editing is enabled.
- The issue seems to not occur in Confluence 6.13.x (tested in 6.13.3).
Workaround
- Enable Collaborative Editing
- Another possible workaround for this issue is to copy the Storage Format of the original page and apply it to a new page using the Confluence Source Editor. Depending on the source of the images, they may also need to be attached to the page first. This process may not be productive should there only be a single image, but can useful should there be a large number of images on a page.
