    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

      Summary

When you add a JIRA Issue Date Event to show the Change Start Date to Change Completion Date range from a Service Desk project, it doesn't display the issues in Team Calendar. But when you add Issue Created Date along with the range, it will display both the
'Issue Created Date' and start to completion range of issues.

      Environment

      • Confluence 6.7.0, Team Calendars 5.5.4

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a JIRA Service Desk Project
      2. Create an issue with Change Start Date information
      3. Add a Confluence Team Calendar
      4. Add a JIRA event type on the Confluence Team Calendar
      5. Display the issues of the created project from Step 1
      6. Select to show Change Start Date - Change Completion Date range
      7. Check if it will populate the Team Calendar showing the Change start date of issues

      Expected Results

      • JIRA Issue Event to show Change Start Date - Change Completion Date range should show in Confluence Team Calendar

      Actual Results

      • Change Start Date - Change Completion Date range is not showing in Confluence Team Calendar

      Workaround

The cause of this bug is that the custom fields for Change Start Date and Change Completion Date are not searchable, as the Search Template for these fields is set to "none" by default: see https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/configuring-a-custom-field-938847235.html  for details on Search Templates.

The following workaround will allow you to see the fields in team calendar without adding extra event clutter:

      Steps to fix in Jira:

      1. Navigate to the admin issues tab and select "Custom Fields" from the side menu.
      2. Search for "Change" to bring up the Change Start Date and Change Completion Date in the list.
      3. Select "edit" from the cog icon beside each field to edit the Search Template.
      4. Select "Date Time Range picker" from the dropdown menu for Search Template.
      5. After completing this step for both fields, Reindex Jira.

After completing these steps and reindexing Jira, you should now see the events in Team Calendars without adding "issue created date" to the selected fields.
