Oracle 12c Release 2 is now available https://docs.oracle.com/database/122/

      Atlassian Update - July 2018

Thanks for your interest in this issue.

Traditionally we have not needed to do any specific testing to be able to support an 'R2' of a database. It appears that Oracle have made significant changes in 12c R2 requiring us to be judicious in updating our automated testing.

Oracle 12c R2 support is ready to go with the upcoming release of of Confluence 6.11. Check out Preparing for Confluence 6.11 for what else is in the pipeline.

      Cheers,

      Adam - Confluence Product Management

[CONFSERVER-52690] Add support for Oracle 12c release 2

Please reconsider this if you are stating that your EOL of the Enterprise 6.6 branch is 12-Dec-2019.  The version of Oracle that you currently support on this branch is out of compliance with Oracle support and why JRASERVER-67079 is in existence.

I believe your bugfix policy regarding the Enterprise Releases either requires your support of this (or needs to change) or why have Enterprise Releases that are supported for two years in the first place?

            Thanks!

            Rick

            Hi thomas.bartholomew1560330651,
Thanks for enquiring about backporting this issue to a Confluence Enterprise release.
As set out in our bugfix policy, features and supported platforms do not fall within the scope of Enterprise Releases.
            Regards, Adam

We couldn't wait and were forced to upgrade to Oracle 12.2 for both Jira and Confluence. So we are running it from begin of May.

as we have to plan our upgrade, please give us a rough timeline. With Coming very soon we are not able to plan and we are forced to upgrade to Oracle 12.2 in September 2018.

When could we expect an official statement of Atlassian?

12.1 is out of Premium support.

This request is open since over a year, in this time it should be possible to evaluate the software.

In professional business environments we are forced to go to full supported Oracle releases.

We are forced to upgrade to ORACLE DB version 12.2 by our DBA Team.
Is there any schedule available, when this will be officially supported ?
            Please advice.
            Kind regards

Hi abarnes@atlassian.com it has now been over 4 months (more than a couple months thus qualifies as a few) since you updated the description. Is there any update?
