Deleting large numbers of comments is Really Really Annoying.

Above the comments display, alongside the hide link, add a bulk delete link. Clicking this link redisplays the page, but gives each comment a "delete" checkbox. When the checkbox is ticked, the comment changes colour to show it's been selected.

At the bottom of the page, there's a big delete button that removes all highlighted comments at the same time.

if comments are mass-deleted only a single email should be sent, summarising the deleted comments.

            [CONFSERVER-5023] Bulk Comment Delete

Just adding my support, Bulk Deleting would be an extremely useful option. It's such a pain to delete one by one.

Should also note that there's no way to silently delete a comment, even with the plugin mentioned here. Each deleted comment generates an email notification.

Does anybody know about the function "Trim Comments" ? Its available in 5.9.2 but seems to be accessible only for Confluence Admins and not for space admins. However there is a plugin available on Market place https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/aptis.plugins.deleteAllComments/server/overview

I am cleaning up a page with 62 comments, which is really troublesome currently because I have to delete them 1 by 1.

I could rename the page, copy the content to a new page with the same name, delete the renamed page. But the side effect would be that links to this page that use page id or tiny link would become broken.

Also, every deletion triggers an email notification. This creates lots of email noise.
