Can someone from Atlassian consolidate all those ticket about "accidental attachments". Some of them are bug reports, others are feature requests (asking for one or another specific solution to the given problem). Most of them have regular comments, but it looks like the threshold for attention at Atlassian was not yet reached.

Imho, while it is honourable that users come up with suggestions, some failed to clearly state the actual issue, e.g. CONFSERVER-27724, making it hard to detect duplicates and to gather the impact.

            Hi,

we actually face the same issue on Confluence 6.0.2. Is there any update or timeline for this bug to be fixed?

            Thank you!

            Hi,
is there any chance to get this fixed soon? I have to delete duplicated unwanted uploads daily....

            Thx,

We realized a tremendous growth in unwanted attachments.

In our Wiki all end users are allowed to contribute while searching for content.
Unfortunately in our company IE is the standard browser
While reading our texts, many end users click the graphics to increase the view. This is intended and even required in many times to keep the text readable.
While doing this end-users often move the graphic only a little piece… and create a copy of the graphic.

We need a quick solution here

            Hi David
there is an atlassian ticket open. They say:
".. it happens to the latest version of Confluence (v5.9.4) as well.
Judging from it, it seems more like a browser issue as we can only replicate this issue using Internet Explorer."

            Aryhe said:
"... This issue is how confluence works with IE and not the other way around.
We need to have this issue fixed ASAP. Can you please escalate this issue and raise the priority CONF-40633 (This issue is not minor!)."

no more information so far ...

            Hi,
I wonder; is this issue resolved in a later version of Atlassian?
            Thanks.
