Limited functionality for users after exceeding the user license limit

    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

We have a local Confluence instance and experienced a very "hostile" limitation of fundamental functionality in the system after exceeding the 250 user limit that our license includes.

After we exceeded the limit to 255 users the functions to save a page (either after creating a pager or editing a page) were disabled for all current users and the attached error appeared.

I find this a very drastic consequence with a very negative affect towards the customer experience - instead of just throwing an error if user no. 251 is being created.

Hope you can find a more graceful solution to this.

      Brgds.
      Sigurdur

Sorry, this is probably not the correct place for this issue. I´ve created https://support.atlassian.com/servicedesk/agent/CSP/issue/CSP-185104 instead.

            Hi Atlassian,@

Any development on the verification of this issue? We experienced the same incident yesterday again and I can as well confirm that this also applies to our Jira local instance. It´s having very unpleasant consequence for our current users.

Hoping to receive some reaction on your behalf and willing to supply further evidence if needed.

            Brgds.
