Deleting threaded comments

      When a comment with children is deleted it would be less confusing if children were deleted too rather than moved up one level.

            Hi everybody,
            it should be also useful to create an option on Administration (Global/Space) page to delete comments.
            Maybe it wouldn't be so hard to implement because there is already an option do create XML backup of space without comments.

            I'm amazed this issue only has 12 votes. Does nobody else ever have to clean out pages with lots of comments? Pain, pain, pain...

            I know there hasn't been much activity on this issue for a while but this feature would be really useful to us. At the very least, the ability to move comments to another page would be useful. We often have users who post comments on the wrong page and there isn't a way to move them.

            Agree with both comments.

            In addition, since deleting comments is a cleanup operation, it would be nice if there was a way to remove the comments without having everyone Watching the page get spammed with a notification - equivalent to the Minor Change checkbox available when Editing a page.

            Or at least, it would be handy if there was a 'remove thread' link on comments with children, which would delete the comment and its descendents. It is really annoying deleting a large comment thread (which happens semi-frequently for me, particularly when discussing a new feature or bug in one of my plugins...)
