@mention is not working and causes javascript error

      @mention throws the following javascript error:

      TypeError: $ is undefined

      This happens with Confluence 5.4.4, which ships with confluence-mentions-plugin 1.8.10.

      Confluence 5.4.3, and confluence-mentions-plugin 1.8.3 is not affected.
